My Life Lately - Alaska
For a couple of years now Ive been wanting to dive more and more into video. As a “Landscape Photographer” seeing my photos into motion just fascinates me so much. The sound, the motion, the story, the color….the challenge. If you know me, you’ve heard me talk about these visions and emotions I have with these stories that I want to make. Ive finally made my first piece that I am extremely proud of and inspired me so much by trying to do something I have never done. Its moments like this as an artist where you truly learn more about yourself.
So my life as a full time photographer has been a little hectic lately. Traveling to Hawaii, Maine, Alaska and the PNW. Not to mention these are HUGE roadtrips and backpacking trips. Sleeping in weird places, meeting new people, witnessing some of the most beautiful landscapes recently and it has me think to my self. ” How long am I going to be doing this?”
As I get older, life seems to be moving more at a faster pace and sometimes I feel like those moments go right before my eyes. I’ll never take these views for granted and to be honest…when I got sober, I found nature and it saved my life. Taking a moment sometimes to really just enjoy it, no camera, no phones just living in the moment to appreciate what is right in front of me. As I was on this road trip driving from Alaska to Seattle, I had a lot of time in between those 3500 miles to think about life and really understand what I was feeling lately. So I wrote a script. I filmed accordingly and I made what I felt. This is one of the best feelings Ive ever felt as an artist and I hope you enjoy and relate to this video. I put my heart and soul into this. There is so much more on the way. Thank you for reading!
